Dr. Gökhan Köksal was born in Bafra, Samsun, Türkiye, in 1974. He began his education at Setbaşı Primary School in Bursa in 1981 and completed his secondary and high school education at Bursa Boys' High School.

He moved to Ankara to pursue his dental education and graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Gazi University in 2001.
